About Me

Jill Janis personal organizer smiling at the camera in front of one of her paintings in Tucson Arizona

I’m compulsively organized, what can I say? I am always organizing myself more, better. I will never finish. Let me put my compulsion to work for you!

I’m also an artist. Please visit jilljanisart.com to view my work. I love to help other artists and craftspeople get organized to enhance creativity.

One of my hobbies is horseback riding. I love to help horse owners and riders organize their tack rooms. Horse owners tend to collect… just in case… bits and pieces to fix other pieces… outgrown equipment… highly specialized and expensive tack… tack for certain horses only… etc. It’s critical to be able to find what you need quickly. Equipment must be in safe working order.

My organizing philosophy

I’ve been doing this a long time, in a lot of different settings. I have no one particular method; I use common sense. I’m “old school”, down-to-earth, with realistic down-home values.

I believe in saving you money; frugality is a virtue. It need not cost a lot of money to get organized. We can probably use things you already have. (Let’s see what we can re-use and re-purpose.)

Accuracy and thoroughness and neatness are more important to me than speed. Attention to detail can never be sacrificed for speed.

All my clients are impressed with how much I get done, how quick I am, but speed is not the top priority. Unless it needs to be.

I will never make you get rid of something if you don’t want to, but I will ask you to examine why you are keeping it and how it should be kept.

I will help you dispose of things responsibly or help you to find ways to do that.

My organizing mission: Organizing the world, one area at a time!
